Hetswap 2020 Schedule

Hey guys, I hope everyone has been hanging in there during the weird, surreal world-changing events of the last few months! With everything that's been happening in the world, I understand that fannish stuff might not be at the forefront of everyone's priority list. But I also see how it could be a much needed break from real life, so I wanted to gauge interest for a 2020 round for Het Swap, and get some feedback on a potential schedule from those of you who might want to participate.

I've drawn up two tentative schedules, one for summer and one for late summer/into the fall. I'm a hundred percent open to adjusting these, and I have no preference myself for one or the other. I've kept the timeline the same in-between assignments and the due date, but I've built in more for nominations, and between the due date and reveals to give pinch hitters a little extra breathing room.

Summer:

Nominations: June 7 - June 21
Sign Ups: June 22 - June 30
Assignments out by July 2 at the latest
Works due: August 20
Collection revealed: September 3
Creators revealed: September 10

Fall:

Nominations: July 1 - July 15
Sign Ups: July 15 - July 23
Assignments out by July 25 at the latest
Works due: September 12
Collection revealed: September 26
Creators revealed: October 3

So quite a bit of creating time in these. I'm open to adjusting this as well, and any other thoughts you have.

I'd vote for fall, because it's shaping up to be a fannishly busy summer, I think.

This would be my first year participating, but I think Fall would be better. I know of at least two other fannish writing challenges taking in the summer. Having it in the fall would probably get more participants.

While I'm good with either schedule and plan to participate no matter which one is selected, I do think the summer schedule would run afoul of a lot of other events. The fall one might be the better choice.

The fall schedule clashes with rl and fannish deadlines for me, so I'd say summer.

Yay! I want to participate either way. I vote for summer just because fall is busier at work for me and there are a lot of Halloween themed exchanges that start up in August/September.

I love me some HetSwap, so I'm most likely going to sign up no matter what, but would probably find the Fall schedule easier :)

I vote for the fall shedule. There are several exchanges that are going to take place around the summer dates, and the end of summer/early fall would be less busy.

Either schedule works for me. Right now, of the exchanges that I have subscribed to, several of them are starting up in June as well, but that's not necessarily a problem for me.
