TAG WRANGLING

• X-Men Movies - would you prefer both timelines merged into one fandom under "X-Men Movies," or two separate fandoms for "X-Men Original Timeline" and "X-Men Alternate Timeline"? I will go with the majority opinion. 

• Marvel Netflix - Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter will be separate fandoms. For the Marvel Netflix shows, however (Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Daredevil, and Defenders), would you prefer separate fandoms, or one catch-all fandom for the Netflix shows? And if you want one merged fandom, would you prefer a group title like "Netflix Marvel," or under The Defenders (TV)? Again, I'll go with the majority opinion.

CROSSOVER PAIRINGS must be nominated under CROSSOVER FANDOM. There are quite a few nominated in specific fandoms. If these aren't re-nominated under the correct category they will be rejected. 

PERSONA SERIES - the tag "Kujikawa Rise/Persona 5 Protagonist" seems to be a crossover pairing between Persona 4 and 5. Since these are nominated as separate fandoms, be advised that this needs to be nominated under Crossover Fandom. Since Kujikawa Rise is technically a character in both, would the nominator be alright with this pairing being sorted into Persona 5?

DC'S ARROWVERSE - If your nominated ships are rejected automatically, let me know. The fandom's already in the tagset, but I mistakenly rejected a duplicate fandom tag so if your pairings show up as rejected right away, it's a bug, not a mod rejection. I can add any ships you want in manually. Please include your nomination page link with your comment.

THE HOBBIT - ALL MEDIA TYPES - being an "All Media Types" tag, this would include both books and movies. Be advised that your recipient and/or writer might only be familiar with one! Are you sure this is how you want the tag formatted?

SUPERMAN - ALL MEDIA TYPES - Re: the tag "Clark Kent/Lois Lane": please specify which version of these characters you would like. "All Media Types" would include literally every version of these characters - and there's been quite a lot! DCU Comics is nominated, and you may specify which comic verse or run you'd like in the tag itself. If you mean to nominate a TV or movie version of them, please nominate the specific fandom. 

MARVEL COMICS - Would you prefer a catch-all fandom of "Marvel (Comics)" with the specific verse (if applicable) in parentheses, or a separate fandom for 616?

DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY / DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT - Are these the same fandom? Would you prefer these kept separate, or merged into a single Dissidia Final Fantasy fandom?

Dissidia Final Fantasy and Dissidia Final Fantasy NT are the same fandom. The second is a sequel to the first. Other Dissidia games are:

*Dissidia 012 -> Prequel to both games.

*Dissidia Opera Omnia -> Spin-off of Dissidia NT.

Person who nominated Marvel 616 here. I usually choose that since it's more specific, because there are different universes in Marvel comics and the 616 is the main one.

The only tags nominated under the broader category of Marvel (Comics) are 616, which is why I wanted to clarify with nominators. Would you prefer 616 to be its own fandom, or would you be alright with nominating ships under Marvel (Comics) with the verse specified in parentheses? (i.e., Tony Stark/Happy Hogan (Earth 616))

For the Marvel Netflix shows, my preference would be to have the shows separated out as individual fandomms. If they end up being grouped, I'd rather have them grouped under "Defenders (TV)".

X-Men Movieverse - I'd like them together with timeline specified for each ship.

Marvel (Comics) - I like having them together with Earth specified for each ship, but I've only nominated 616 ships so far. So if you decide to split them up by Earth it won't negatively impact me.

I didn't nominate Persona 5, but Rise is mentioned in the game a little. There are posters of her, as well as being directly mentioned twice in the game, though she doesn't show up in person. I dunno if that info helps at all.

I've got several crossovers in the specific fandom sections because I was following the instructions on the AO3 webpage. Sorry about that, I haven't done this before. I would modify them but it says I have a duplicate that's already been accepted and it won't let me save.

What was originally listed as James "Bucky" Barnes/Peggy Carter and James "Bucky" Barnes/Peggy Carter/Steve Rogers now both say James "Bucky" Barnes/Peggy Carter.

Yes, I remember seeing Bucky/Peggy and Bucky/Peggy/Steve come up; I accepted them both but then Bucky/Peggy/Steve disappeared - probably a bug. I added that one in manually because I knew that someone had nominated it, so both ships are currently in the tagset.

Yes, that's it! What exactly are you trying to edit when you get the message saying that a duplicate tag has already been accepted? Were you trying to add Bucky/Peggy/Steve, or change the crossover pairings?

I was trying to change the crossover pairings. This is the error I get anytime I try to change anything.

Okay, I see the problem now. Basically what happened is that AO3 merged the two tags, so when I accepted them, it locked them in. I can't edit a nomination after it's been accepted, so there's unfortunately no way to fix it. It's a known bug in the nomination form that pops up from time to time - even though you submitted it as Steve/Bucky/Peggy, and I accepted it as Steve/Bucky/Peggy, for whatever reason the archive decided to change it to Bucky/Peggy (maybe AO3 is a Iron Man fan?) and lock you out of your nomination form.

So I'll go ahead and change your crossover pairings so they're in the right category, don't worry about that. From here we've got a couple options - you can email me what additional ships/fandoms you want for the nomination slots you have left, and I can add them in manually, or if you prefer to have control over a nomination panel to edit at your leisure, then shoot me an email and we can work something out. Sorry about this!

I'm sorry I made this a hassle! You're awesome, I'm glad you figured it out. (I thought I broke it somehow!) The seven crossover ships listed are all I had so no email is necessary.

Sorry again for not understanding how you wanted the crossover pairings submitted. I'll know for next time, at least. :)

No worries - every exchange is different. Having a separate fandom for crossovers is what most of them do nowadays, but it's not a hard and fast rule by any means.

I've added your crossover pairings in now - don't be alarmed if you go back to your nomination page and see that they're rejected - I put them in a different way. It just saves me an extra step, is all.

I'm trying to nominate Clark Kent/Lois Lane Man of Steel era. Nom was rejected because someone's already nommed them for DCU comics. Is there a way I can have them nommed under either DC Cinematic Universe or Man of Steel because I'm unfamiliar with the comics?

Looks like a stray tag got through; it was floating around in all the DC fandoms and mucking up the works. Should be fixed now - you can nominate in "DC Extended Universe" if you only want movies and it should go through. Let me know if you have more problems though.

I tried with DC Extended Universe Clark Kent/Lois Lane and got an error message - already nominated in comics, try tacking on DC Extended Universe.

Yes, if you disambiguate like "Clark Kent/Lois Lane (DC Extended Universe)," then it should go through. Currently there's no Clark/Lois in that fandom. If that still doesn't work, try modifying the tag even more, like "Clark "Superman" Kent/Lois "Reporter" Lane (DC Extended Universe)" and I'll fix it when I approve it.

I accepted it in "DC Extended Universe", which refers to the DC movies as a whole, since that fandom's already in the tagset. FYI! Let me know if there's a reason why you'd like it separated out.
